Cheryl Hines

Cheryl Ruth Hines grew up close to Tallahassee within Florida. She was born in Miami Beach on September 21 1964. She was the daughter of Rosemary (Graham), and James Hines. Her studies included West Virginia University, Florida State University and at the University of Central Florida. She studied theater and television production. But it was not until after she relocated into Los Angeles and studied at the Groundlings Theater that she felt that she really had learned anything about the art of comedy. Lisa Kudrow was her first tutor. She taught her how to play improvise and create comedy sketches. The lessons learned helped get ready for the job of Larry David's wife on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm (2000). She is comfortable because the dialog in this show is improvised.
